Lee’s Foundation International (LFI) is pleased to announce its partnership with Sync Hub, a community-based organization that provides innovative solutions to community challenges located in the heart of Abuja , Nigeria , West Africa. As part of LFI’s Chess2000 Project on Social Development and WASH, the partnership has established a Chess Club aimed at empowering young people through chess.

The Chess2000 Project is a social development initiative that uses chess as a tool to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and social interaction. The project also promotes Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practices in communities, particularly in schools, by using chess as an educational tool to teach hygiene practices and sanitation behaviors.
Through this partnership, LFI and Sync Hub have established a Chess Club for young people in the community. The club provides a safe space for young people to learn, interact, and develop their chess skills. The Chess Club is open to both boys and girls and aims to provide an inclusive environment that promotes gender equality.

The Chess Club provides a unique opportunity for young people to learn valuable life skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. These skills are essential for success not only in chess but also in life. By participating in the Chess Club, young people develop their confidence and self-esteem, which are important attributes for personal growth and development.
In addition to promoting social development, the Chess2000 Project also focuses on promoting WASH practices in schools. The project uses chess as an educational tool to teach students about the importance of hygiene practices and sanitation behaviors. Through chess, students learn about the importance of handwashing, proper sanitation, and the dangers of waterborne diseases.
The Chess Club is just one of the many initiatives that LFI and Sync Hub are implementing as part of the Chess2000 Project on Social Development and WASH. The partnership is committed to empowering young people through chess and promoting WASH practices in communities.

In conclusion, the partnership between Lee’s Foundation International and Sync Hub is a testament to the power of collaboration in promoting social development and WASH practices in communities. The establishment of the Chess Club is an important step towards empowering young people and promoting gender equality. It is hoped that this partnership will serve as a model for future collaborations aimed at promoting social development and WASH practices in communities around the world.
